Sponsorship Opportunities for  2024 Spring Safety Training for Drivers, Loggers and Mechanics

We could not provide these trainings year after year without the support of companies like you and assistance with underwriting the expense is essential to their success.  Sponsorship of the 2024 PLC safety trainings is also a great opportunity to show your company’s support for our members and your vested interest in the safety of their employees.

Marketing for this year’s training will be distributed to our members the first week of February through direct mail, e-mail, our website, Facebook, and our magazine. Your participation will also be highlighted during the classes and in all accompanying promotional material.

We will hold twelve training days throughout the Northeast during April and May for more than 100 of our member companies and 1,000 of their employees. Sponsors are always welcome to attend the training days and to set up an informational table. This year we will also have one training in Hartland, VT!

New opportunity for 2024 – Off-Road Safety Signs – we will be printing and distributing a road sign for our members to post at the entrance to log yards and logging roads and you will have the opportunity to include your company logo on these signs.

MaineDOT Releases 2024 Work Plan

AUGUSTA – Today, the Maine Department of Transportation (MaineDOT) released the 2024 Edition of its three-year Work Plan. It includes all capital projects and programs, maintenance and operations activities, planning initiatives, and administrative functions for calendar years 2024, 2025, and 2026.

MaineDOT’s Work Plan is the primary way the department delivers on its mission: to support economic opportunity and quality of life by responsibly providing our customers with the safest and most reliable transportation system possible, given available resources.

This Work Plan contains 2,672 individual work items with a total value of $4.74 billion. This reflects increased infrastructure investments at both the federal and state levels.

We are grateful that policymakers came together, recognized the benefits of infrastructure investments, and worked in a bipartisan way to deliver significant steps forward for transportation,” said MaineDOT Commissioner Bruce Van Note. “This will help MaineDOT continue a pivot from making do to making real progress.”
