Program Information

The purpose of the SLoCAMP program is to provide payments to loggers to support direct implementation of practices that will enhance water quality protection, promote climate adaptation, and meet loggersโ€™ needs to extend or maintain operations. Funding is available to cover costs associated with labor and materials to implement the following four practices:

  1. Hardening Truck Roads and Landings
  2. Skid Trail Improvement
  3. Temporary Stream Crossings
  4. Permanent Stream Crossings

Applications for funding are reviewed and approved on a continual basis until November 30, 2026. Payment will be made for Acceptable Management Practices (AMPs) approved in this application that are implemented in accordance with the Vermont Department of Forests, Parks & Recreationโ€™s Acceptable Management Practices for Maintaining Water Quality on Logging Jobs in Vermont.

This application contains information of a technical nature. If you need assistance in completing this form, please contact the Professional Logging Contractors of the Northeast (207-688-8195).
