Beardsley unanimously confirmed as Conservation Commissioner

Last week Governor LePage’s pick to be Commissioner of Conservation, Bill Beardsley received unanimous committee approval from the Joint Committee on  Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry.

Today, Beardsley was unanimously confirmed by the Maine Senate and sworn in by Governor LePage as Maine’s next Commissioner of the Department of Conservation.  Beardsley takes over the department from Maine Bureau of Parks and Lands director, Will Harris, who served as Acting Commissioner during the transition and confirmation process.
