Why communication matters

People respond mostly to what they see and hear—non-verbal cues and tone—more than the exact words. This tool looks at your communication style (how you tend to communicate), not personality or motives.

We use four communication styles based on two perspectives: 1) How you start (tell vs. ask) and 2) What you prioritize (task vs. relationship): Driver (teller/task), Analytic (asker/task), Relater (asker/relationship), and Expressive (teller/relationship).

Most friction shows up in pace (fast vs. measured) and in priorities (task vs. relationship). Naming those differences helps you adjust.

How to answer the first 25 questions

  1. You’ll see 25 lines of four wordspick one on each line that sounds most like you.
  2. Go with your gut. Choose how you usually are, not what you “should” be.
  3. Options are shuffled; there are no right or wrong answers.
  4. Answer all 25 to get your results.

After that, you’ll answer a few short situations. Your results read like a brief story—strengths, stress habits, and simple ways to flex with different paces and priorities.
