Good day,
Welcome to mud season!!! While it’s a great time of year to take downtime, it’s also a good time of year to make sure you have the latest safety resources available at your fingertips for startup.
Here are four videos for you and your employees to review. They are unlisted YouTube links that you can copy and paste into texts or emails to share with your team.
The first video provides information on what to do if you or a coworker gets stung by a bee and has an allergic reaction.
The second video is an Unsafe Zone injury story from Tony Madden. He talks about the importance of wearing safety glasses before you think you need them. Tony learned the hard way that regular glasses are not replacements for safety glasses.
The third video is Paul Stewart talking about the medications you should carry in your first aid kits. Mud season is a good time to add important drugs to your first aid kits, and to check the expiration dates on the medications that you have.
The last video features Ted Clark and myself discussing accountability. We go over best practices, new technology options, and why you should have a plan.
Enjoy, and remember to think safe, work safe, and be safe!
We are always looking for stories to share for the Unsafe Zone videos. If you have an injury story that could help others, please contact me, and we will produce a video.
