2026 Master Logger Workshops:

We’re preparing for our next Master Logger Best Practices Workshop which will take place on Wednesday, August. 12 in Windham, VT, and space is limited to 40 participants so early registration in encouraged!

Designed for company owners and supervisors, the workshops are field-focused, half-day sessions designed to get into real-world application of timber stand improvement (TSI), including crop tree release, beech control strategies, operational layout, and—importantly—how to accurately track and understand your true $/acre costs.

Each workshop will also include a practical review of audit preparation to help you stay ready for field verification.

New this year:

The 2026 workshops are sponsored by the New England Forestry Foundation (NEFF) and will:

1) Highlight how TSI work aligns with NEFF’s AMP program, including cost-share opportunities for Master Logger Certified Companies and expectations for documentation and long-term stand improvement.

2) Participants will be provided a cost share reimbursement of $500/participant/Master Logger Certified company (limit of 5 per company) for attendance.

This session will run from 7:30 AM – 12:30 PM and will be held entirely in the field. (Lunch is provided) Hard hats and safety vests are required.

These workshops are a great opportunity to step back from production and focus on decision-making, cost awareness, and improving outcomes on low-value or TSI-harvests.
