Hatch Hill fire damage near $1 million

AUGUSTA — A fire at the Hatch Hill landfill Monday destroyed nearly $1 million worth of equipment and material.

Nobody was hurt in the fire, which destroyed a wood grinder and several tons of wood chips, Augusta Fire Department Battalion Chief Ed Charles said.
